And Now...

Well guys, this is really just a test posting since I haven’t sent anything out to any of you yet. But hopefully you’ll see this when you first get on the blog, and it can explain a few things about how this is going to work, or how I hope it will work.

David G. reminded me about this whole thing a few days ago, and he’s put together a list of emails that invitations to join this blog will go out to. All you have to do is create a free account name on this site and you can start posting to this page. Hopefully this will give us a space to keep up, commiserate, and insult one another with impunity.

A few mechanical things: first, as you all join the blog, the normal options for posting are fine, but I’ve found a few ways that might work better. First, if you download the Microsoft Word plug-in from the dashboard it makes it a lot easier to just write something from your desktop and publish it. Second, there is software for publishing pictures to the blog that is a lot faster than doing it through their normal posting, although that works as well. You can find it here. Just remember, if anything remotely resembling a rat brain shows up, we can be flagged for disturbing content, although I don’t know what they’d do or why anyone would be looking.

That’s it. If everyone makes sure their name and email are part of their profile we should have an effective list of emails here as well. We’ll see how this goes.
